What bear has as few hps as me? :O And still bears hit hard as fuck with parrysplit and they were 3 (1600hps) though luckily they started semilow. If one of the three had bashed me during my 6 failed flees at bad it'd be easy to figure out the outcome.

You really shouldnt be able to wear a shield in combat if you cant wear a helmet or amulet or even be given something!=P

You can wear a helmet, or even a full set of armour, while engaged in combat. What you can't do is remove that armour, nor can you remove a shield.

Though I understand what you mean, but one need to consider that the time scale in MUME is very different from 'normal' time (and kind of inconsistent in how long certain things take). (This is one of those playability vs. realism compromises needed to make a game playable and fun, and IMO it is a good one. It is more restrictive than in most games, but allows a little freedom.)

Dunno either why it says BASE abilities there, probably base abilities as opposed to skills or something like that. They're quite obviously not base as in unmodified abilities. - strength

It reminds me of one of those Heaton (cs-player) movies... That one with Clawfinger - Biggest and best, and he's just running around dominating. It might not be a log of supreme skill, but it's very very pretty. In a pink, fluffy kind of way. :)
