| 2008/08/14 19:11, Stolb: | | Well somehow mannagement got tired of all those whines on unkillable powerplayers in shining, even though shining never made you invoulnerable, just somewhat harder to kill, yes. And shining people also were/are target no1 in a group fight, killing one results in nice loot, concentrated fire - and you get that evil 'uberpower' gone. Simple as that.
Having shining brEASTplate usually resulted in really nice chance of survival, since the hit system was based on 'bodyspace' - body being the biggest/more chance to hit part, with the rest spread out pretty much even. Somewhat logical system, but not enough for mannagement. But what the done now is just ridiculous? Ok, enemy 'sees' there are no nice absorb item on that body part, and tries to hit it, but there are still chances he misses, right, either completely, or just hits the other bodypart? But no, almost ALL hits go in the unprotected place, even after some twiddling. Remember the fun being hit by a black uruk patrul 9 of 9 times on leather boots? It got changed a bit, but still works almost the same in a small number fights.
Don't know where I am heading with this, just some thoughts on the matter. |
