Elf-Shooter vs. BN-Mage. Nothing out of the ordinary. No tracks
whatsoever near mewlips, all mobs still there, whities "roam the land
unhindered", so I thought it can't be too bad. Luckily it wasn't a
overkill-trap, but a nice 1 vs. 1 fight - my first PK experience where
I felt that I had a chance.

I would like to have some feedback, comments etc. of the more
experienced PKers here - where should I improve?

Not much advice to give I'd say. Keep on fighting and you'll get better, every death is a learning experience. An important thing missing in this fight from you was staying calm under pressure and knowing where you are (You bumped into quite a few walls there). With time you'll learn to anticipate where you flee and you'll be more calm in PKs. Good luck. :)

Seriosly hard to say, would be nice to see equipment of numenorean and his level. Level 50 full shining/metal bn should kill level 30 thief shit equipped thief easily.

Another solution: wield arrow, poison arrow, put arrow quiver, repeat 10x, though numenoreans tend to bitch about it later.

The fight is not lost because you're bad and he's only hurt. That's good rule to follow. :) When he's hurt, his armour is either down or about to drop and he's only a few arrows away from death. If you hunt him with sneak, he will have trouble landing any spells.

But Ramangth is right, keep fighting and you'll get it eventually.

You never know how many deaths it takes to learn pk. Depends on your personality (wise people learn from mistakes of others, fools don't learn even from own errors:/ ), how often you play (and PK! - more often, the faster you progress ofcourse) and what's your goal (pure PK or just some basic knowledge along with smobing and other stuff).
I can say it took me 3+ years with various playtime (first half-year just to learn game, then period of being clueless panicing breelegend who learned areas, then some quite long breaks at times like month to six months) and this year I can say I'm starting to progress well. I don't panic long time anymore, value fun and fight more than eq, wether I gain or loose it, and get atleast few kills every session.

This ain't probably best advice since these are personal notes and even so, they are quite hazy since it's morning here!! But basic formula is as for everything - skills and knowledge come through practice! So practice well:)

Yeah a shield would help a bit and just never stop fighting, its at that point most fights are lost if you start panicking and fleeing, even awful vs hurt bn you still have a chance.

I agree totally with Ramangth.... though i can say i'm not the greatest at pk in open situations.... staying calm and concentrating on the room you're standing and surrounding rooms saved me or allowed me to win 9/10 times. Indecision can be your worst enemy too... something i have to constantly remind myself heh heh.
