Storie was that I and Fingeror had been pkilling some
whole morining fought 3v 6 in priest ect outnumbered all the time.

Heh, poisons are very nice balanced at moment. Powerfull enough to bring down lazy players, and easy to avoid if you want to. In this case panic killed you, not poison.

Unlike what features? A lot of things are still tick-based and a lot of things won't make sense if you change their effect to continous. Wounds for example: bleeding is a nice tick-based feature. You are bad/awful seeking rivendell, almost in already and it ticks! You have to search again, orcs enter in 2 seconds, splat, bad luck.

People die to poison because they are lazy. Was reading comments to latest logs, found a good example. 2002/10/22 20:37, Edvard: 'Thats a nice quality. Never to get bored. Me myself almost puke everytime i have to run around and gather draught shit. And albinos are dead. And someone took the plants around noc. And... blahhh =p'.

5 mins of collecting herbs and you are forget about poisons for 3 hour session. Or stack some herbal kits with antidote in your pack. Or make jewelled ring. Or keep some draughts. With the introduction of lasting antidote effect and tweaks to envenom skill poisons are VERY balanced.

While we're at it, why not change regen back to tick-based aswell? It's really just as continuous in reality as poison effects or bleeding.

As for access to draughts, with the introduction of mighty zaugurz tribe draughts are twice easier to get. Really, every level 5 naked zaugurz gets metal+normal flask in a few ticks it takes to lure patrol, loot eq and send it north. Now, is it hard to kill a few lowbie zaugurz orcs to get a non-decaying draughts? Ever tried 'quaff antidote + quaff zaugurz-draught' combo? No psylonia penalty, half of your moves restored.

Hrmpf, i usually don't die moveless WHEN i have draughts. But i HATE the idea that sometimes your survival depends on blind luck (poison ticking). The amount of moves arach takes/tick is fine, but it would make more sense if that happened gradually, without the luck factor.

Oh and Gray, people DO get fun and fair fights on mume, just gotta let them happen. If you have a reputation of calling tons of backup, or you totally overpower your opponent of course noone fights you 1 vs 1.

Hmm, maybe Reno owerpowers each of them solo because Manwe granted him some godly powers? I guess no - just because of hard work and a lot of patience. So, it's ok to overkill then? Now take into account that levels above 25 mean shit in MUME, and two lev26 beat lev70 easily - so, let's stop levelling and just travel in groups permanently? This tactic sucks. If you think I overpower you because of my level/eq/etc - maybe try get better level/eq/etc and actually beat me 1 vs 1?

Heh, Gray i really don't think you overpower me. I have to admit i've never ever met you solo either when i was on the dark side. What i DO know is that i've had many good fights where neither side calls backup.

As i mentioned before, if you're well known for calling backup, you can expect backup be called on you too. I personally remember you once saying to me that you'll use whatever lame tactics to hit the warlords, guess saying stuff like that doesn't really support fair play spirit.

These comments now have really nothing to do with the current log at hand and i'm in no way saying that the hunters here are well known for their fair playing :) Just saying there are good fights to be found out there.

Well levels of my chars are completely irrelevant. Point is, only way to get fair fights is to pick on someone your own size or a bit stronger. Some of my chars can fight bns, some of my chars can fight pukemages, some can fight highlev orc warriors.

Just that when i go after a bn with a pukemage or a smiter warrior, there'll be no fight, only a hunt.

Feagil, I didn't speak about non-legends, they should be exping far away from pk. And levels after legend don't mean much, thus two legends vs one are always overkillers. One might win against these two (like I did sometimes), but this doesn't make them less overkillers.
