The story goes - ~6 orcs are raiding bree ~14 are hiding inside 
Bree watching/scrying our room and try to trap us inside so they 
could use mobs and try to fight allmighty orcish riders. *cough* 
But they fail fail and fail and then suddenly Smrtihlav looses link 
and yes its time to strike !

Well, lets face it. A bunch of pukes with a linkless orc.. humm.. if one hit, they will all hit. Now.. its just like in movies when some dumbass soldier touches the trigger and shoots then everyone gets killed. This is much the same. A chain is never stronger then the weakest opponent.

I have been kill just west of bree linkless by morrigan,my link just freezed...but i take my risk...i havn't complain and i don't want to.

I've seen Kostej (Luke) ask his groupmates (including one of my Orcs) to stand still to allow him to backstab a Hobbit we met linkless on GER (was a nice 100k actually, but it's one of my most shameful memories). Why would that be any better than killing Smrtihlav linkless by Bree? We've all died linkless and it sucks, but you lot are whining worse than Drummond, and he might actually have had a better reason to do so.

I just remembered a mildly amusing episode from a few years ago. I met a linkless Dwarf on OER near Bree and narrated about it. Half an hour later Shake narrated that he was still there and still linkless. I rented for a while and when I logged on again Rogon told me some scout (can't remember the name) had spammed all the way from NOC just to kill that linkless Dwarf and then return home.

I don't like to acuse others or say names, so i will only say: one of those involved was playing darkie once, when i was with a group. I got linkless and that guy was trying to kill me, even with ALL the group yelling i was linkless. Luckilly i could reconnect in time to cure myself and keep playing.

I think the new IAAF system that there can be only 1 false start per one start and after that everybody who make false starts is a BS. Only thing its useful for is staying within planned timing of the competition, as a lot of false starts use to slow down competition... But thats not supportive to athletes at all, and IAAF should be there to support them, not to earn as much money as possible.

And looking how his foot moved from reply, actually Drummond didnt make a false start, he just moved his foot a bit on that 'thing' (sry, dont know how that thing is called in english, where they take off), but he started at same time as others, not before... but the start-system was just too sense-able and read that as a false start.

(arh.. my english sucks to explain such a complicated thing)

It all comes down to how sensitive the equipment is and how flawless it is! I remember a match from Aussie Open 2002 where they had to turn the equipment off cos it would claim faulty serves even when the ball wasn't in play ;p
Still, Drummond and the American staff acted unsportsmanlike and should be punished (can't blaim the crowd for booing, however).

But so long as it is the rule, the stadium during the a competition is not the right place/time to discuss it, and certainly not that way preventing others to compete... i know mumers tend to act like that, bitching anywhen about management's decisions, or breaking of nonevenwritten rules (dont kill ld - which, is there any need to recall, i fully support) ; but also, rules are far more precise in athle and less subject to loose interpretation, and well, these people are supposed to be more or less professionnal, not a bunch of stupid retards insane enough to spend many many hours on a pointless text-based game...
