The arguing over equipment after this fight was pretty amusing, and even more so after reading this log. Apparently Aratha showed up and saved the equipment by finishing off Prugar and scaring away the 2 other zorcs that had shown up to recover corpses. Then you two took all the equipment and refused to split with him, because 'he didn't do anything to deserve it.'

Oh, and those rangers would have a hard time finishing off Prugar, seeing as you guys quaked both rangers dead.

You forgot to mention you locked yourself + 2 others in treasury room and dropped link on purpose trying to escape. Repop however came before you voided, so we did Sage and got new key... We didn't notice you were LD before you wear dead and realized you had rock(s). Then being afk/ld was only logical explanation why you didn't try to break the door. But even if we knew you were ld, it looked too much like being ld on purpose, so we would likely not spare you anyway.

As for removing rangers, I'd replace them with something useful. As they work now, they only encourage darkies to come in big groups. I'd tolerate solo darkies and small groups in the west, while bigger groups (3+ ?) should trigger sorties of appropriate size to hunt them. Or maybe any darkie should trigger them, but the delay of sortie triggering should be proportional to number of darkies in the area (so solo darkie could have e.g. 8 ticks of 'guaranteed safety', 2 darkies 4 ticks, 3+ darkies 2 ticks). Raids should still be possible though, so this sortie should have some limit in size.

What does matter to me is the playerbase which is left. Have fun overkilling linkless people.

I admit I might have been wrong when I accused him of dropping link on purpose. Still it looked like that (after we realized he was probably linkless, i.e. after he died) and I wouldn't blame him for trying to escape that way, as it was perfectly logical and now when novoid is implemented it is not illegal like it was many years ago.

I have nothing against anyone airing their discontent, but when they publicly attack other player, even insult him (which Deva did on RR), they should at least say the whole story. Since he didn't I assumed he had something to hide, and first thing that came to mind was that he dropped link on purpose (which it looked like anyway - as we realized after the fight).
If Deva wants an apology for accusing him of linkdropping on purpose, he should first apologize for that insult.

I don't need an apology Elestir, I do value that you share how you came to act in this situation.

What happened just proves to me that the game and it's playerbase is something I grew tired off. I got disappointed quite a while ago and unfortunately the process hasn't changed, nor the system supporting the process. I don't blame anyone in person, but it is very co-incidentical that it had to be Elestir once again: overkill AND linklesskill. It might partly be my past experience making this a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy, who knows. Personal attacking is a way for people with expressive communication style to flee to, just like other people use other ways to communicate their emotions in stressful situations.

But to second Djinn: my excuses for attacking you personally. If it would have been someone else, I would have reacted exactly the same - it just had to be you :-P
