Discussions like this are always going to be subjective; everyone has a different picture of how the game 'should' be.

However, consider what might happen if there was no explosion risk for rocks, I would not be surprised to see pElestir carry significantly more than his typical 3, being limited practically only by weight. Imagine walking Arda with 10 rocks, block would be essentially useless against you.

Though few have the patience to accumulate as many pouches (as they are less useful than rocks) the current state of affairs makes it so earthquake (or 1 room spells) could in principle be useless as well.


This is probably a small enough issue that others would trump it and it would never be fixed. However, unlimited on pouch usage only benefits a tiny class of players, and it is silly to treat it as a practical counter to e.g. quake traps.

To say what is more OP here is a very questionable judgement. And yes, I am comparing two different uses of the item. Truth remains that in the case of one-roomer, casters are affected most, in case of a bottleneck, hitters are affected most (which comes from importancy of these in given cases). Some of us still remember when it worked like that. And not only rocks, but also pale blue stones. And of course many players carried many of these. Not just me.

If all you rely on is a stored earthquake in one-roomer, then yes, powders can screw you hard. But if you are more creative, powders can merely slow you down a bit.
