If Imynie wouldnt panick, he could have gotten away. All he had to do was draught, move away a few rooms, and pbs self, then pretty much infinite moves with cleric bob. I guess having your mana/moves reduced to 12.5% of total would make anyone panick though. His Armour was also down more then likely, fueling the panic.
Those dreaming mechanics are pretty stupid, would be nice if they reworked it somehow...

Everyone discussing about how some spells should/should not wake someone up, but the underlying problem is sleep itself, the spell, and the mechanics behind the sleeping quest. Waiting 30+ minutes unable to do anything is dumb and makes solo play very risky. Broken spell, change the mechanics or remove it entirely.
More on topic, I do think that the sleeping person should be made aware that someone else is casting spells on him and depending on the person's awareness, should receive some general information 'You feel a strange sensation' or something more accurate like 'Someone is trying to cast blabla on you'.
Edit: If you agree, please suggest this in game. If enough people suggest it...one can only hope...

I might be inclined, Capcaun, to share your views on sleep mechanics where the spell or arachnia is concerned.

But the sleep quest should be dangerous in each and every phase. If you decide to do it, you should be prepared. Iff you want to do it solo, you have to avoid drawing attention to your actions at all cost.

There are days when nobody will notice your solo tracks leading deep into Mirkwood or nobody will know what to do with this info or nobody will reach you before you are done sleeping.

And there are other days.

I guess, this was one of the other days for Iminye.

@Singleton: For something that repetitive, its stupidly long. It was fun the 1st time, the dream is interesting enough, but once you see it a couple of times it becomes very tedious. And no, there is nearly no risk involved, you just need to log in during the day and/or log something with hps and doit without a worry in the world.
I agree that the quest should have some danger involved, but the danger should not come from the game breaking sleep, but rather from some smart mechanics. Sitting and watching your monitor 30+ minutes, reading a text you've seen for the 100th time is really not fun, nor is it engaging...
I really do not wanna ruin it for the people that enjoy this kind of waiting, but for the rest of us, there should be the option to wake up and leave whenever we want, even if that means that there is no reward for the quest. This is also the case for sleep spell, i cant remember how many times i had to wait and stare at the screen for half a hour, because some idiot slept me in open, instead of enjoying the limited playtime that i had.

For me it sounds stupid, this char would work well with a big playerbase as it seems more of a support character except for in this case :p

I meant that the character needed to hit mid-40s before becoming viable in the way he wanted. Even if XP isn't as hard as it used to be, mid-40s is still many RL days worth of play time, which is a big commitment when you aren't sure the char will even work the way you want it to.

I was referring to XP level not player-base level.
