I remember this one occasion at around 7 years old when p(Durcano) had me keep an eye on the screen when he was ~5 meters away cooking. There were around 20 darkies in his room and in the next around 20 pukes. Both groups were scouting back and forth and I remember asking why they weren't just engaging each other. Now, years later, I've realized that one of the groups was probably in a closable with friendly mobs insidoe. For a young, impressionable kid that was a super intense experience. I also fondly remember storing quakes on his BN. Experiencing all this as a kid is the reason I exclusively play darkies.
From what I've done myself, the first things to pop in my head are a lot of PKing around SD and Old Fornost as Cab the Cave Troll and later as Karthus the Mountain Troll. A particular fight I remember was this 1v1 as Nokturne against an elf mage in Moria that ended up in the underwater whirlpool area with 3 breathable rooms , where we both were awf/bad and fainting/exhausted. Least favourite thing about MUME
Zones getting bigger AS the playerbase gets smaller.
Reading logs and hearing about the golden days of MUME (late 90s to early 2000s) but knowing I wasn't able to be a part of it. There's a lot of oldies that to me are absolute legends only thanks to reading logs or seeing the game be played when I was a kid but I've never even seen most of them online just because I'm from a different era. I started after most had already quit.
In real life ...
Studied sports science in University of Tartu, I currently teach striking for MMA (also a bit of jiu jitsu) and am also actively looking for a job as a personal trainer.
I do a lot of gaming, mostly games where I can test my skill against other people, so not a lot of singleplayer story/lore based games.
Competitive: CS:GO (4000 hours, want/wanted to go pro), PUBG, occasional League of Legends, FIFA/NBA (these last two I've learned to NOT like as much anymore because there's a lot less ACTUAL pin-point accuracy control over your actions)
Casual: WoW private servers, Diablo 2: LoD, GTA 5
